Omni for iOS · Last updated: August 7, 2026

Here you'll find how to get started with Omni for iOS, along with answers to common questions. If none of this solves your problem, just email us — we reply within one business day.

1. What Omni is

Omni is a single-user, private AI assistant you carry with you. One entry point drives several AI engines; multiple workspaces run in parallel without mixing context. From your phone or tablet you can reach your own computer at any time to read and write files and run compute. Sessions sync across devices in real time so you can pick up where you left off. Pair by scanning a QR code — no account, no password, and your data stays on your own machine.

2. Getting started

  1. Install and launch the Omni desktop app on your Mac, and keep the machine powered on and online;
  2. The desktop app displays a pairing QR code;
  3. Open Omni on your iPhone, allow camera access, and scan that code;
  4. Once paired you're ready to go — no sign-up, no password.

3. Frequently asked questions

Why does the app need camera access?

Only to scan the pairing QR code shown by the desktop app. The camera is not used for anything else, and no images are stored or uploaded.

Why does the app need photo library access?

Two cases: attaching an image you pick to a prompt you send to an AI engine, and saving a resulting image back to your album when you choose to. We never read anything else in your library.

The app can't reach my computer — what should I check?

Is my data uploaded to your servers?

No. Omni is a private, single-user setup: your files and conversation history live on your own computer, and the phone is only an access point. When you send a prompt to an AI engine, your input goes to that engine using credentials you configured yourself.

Does it cost anything?

The app is free to download and use. Any third-party AI engines you drive are billed by their own providers, separately from us.

How do I delete my data?

Unpair the device in the app to clear the credential stored on your phone. Data on your computer is yours to manage — delete the relevant workspace directories.

4. Requirements

An iPhone running iOS, plus a Mac running the Omni desktop app.
