Privacy Policy
Applies to: Omni for iOS · Effective: August 7, 2026
This policy is issued by Guizhou Yunyou Information Technology Co., Ltd. ("we", "us") and applies to the Omni iOS application (the "App"). Omni is a single-user, private AI assistant: you run the Omni server on your own computer and pair your phone with it by scanning a QR code, giving you access to your own files and compute. Your files and conversation history stay on your own devices — we keep no copies on our servers.
1. What we do not collect
The App requires no account registration. We do not collect usernames, passwords, phone numbers, email addresses, or identity information. The App contains no third-party advertising or behavioural analytics SDKs. We do not track you across apps or websites, do not access the Advertising Identifier (IDFA), and never sell your information or use it for advertising.
2. Device permissions the App uses
- Camera: used solely to scan the pairing QR code shown by the desktop app. The camera is not used for anything else; no images are stored or uploaded.
- Photo Library (read): accesses only the images you explicitly pick, so they can be attached to a prompt you send to an AI engine you have authorised. We do not read anything else in your library.
- Photo Library (write): used only when you choose to save an image back to your album.
Each permission is requested the first time you use the corresponding feature and may be declined; declining affects only that feature. You can revoke any permission at any time in iOS Settings.
3. Data stored on your device
- Pairing credential: the device token created when pairing is stored in the iOS Keychain. It is used only to prove this device's identity to your own computer and is never uploaded to our servers.
- Local preferences: such as the last active workspace and interface settings, kept on-device only.
4. How data is transmitted
The App communicates with your own computer to read and write files, run compute tasks, and sync sessions. When you send a prompt to an AI engine (such as Claude or Codex), your input is transmitted to that engine using credentials you configured yourself, for the sole purpose of generating a response. You choose the engine and supply your own authorisation; that provider's own privacy policy governs its handling of the data. We neither intermediate nor retain this content.
5. Security
Traffic is carried over encrypted channels. The pairing token is held in the system Keychain and protected by iOS. Because your data resides primarily on your own devices, please keep your devices and passcodes secure.
6. Deleting your data
Unpairing the device in the App clears the credential and preferences stored on your phone. Files and conversation history on your computer are under your own control — delete the relevant directories to remove them. No request to us is required; contact us below if you would like assistance.
7. Children's privacy
The App is intended for users comfortable operating a personal computer. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Your rights
Because we do not collect your personal information, there is normally nothing to request access to or deletion of. If you believe we hold information relating to you, contact us using the details below and we will verify and respond within a reasonable period.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date, and material changes will be signposted.
